Currently out of food and batteries but I know that if I continue on I will find the items! It only crashed once for me when I first entered the swamps but I luckily saved just before that. Really fun adventure-horror game. The puzzles aren't impossible but just challenging enough to give you pause. I loved the story, the characters, and all the fun horror movie easter eggs hidden throughout the game. Diagoue was good, game play was great. This is the game I wish "Friday the 13th" had been all those years ago on Nintendo.. im pretty into graphic so for this being a pixelated game i gotta say it was not only amusing but really fun. the scares had my blood pumping just a tad but thats about normal for me with any horror game. definately 5 stars for story and having a anbience that really drags you into it.. Just played this game to the end. It is EPIC. My advice is don't use the flashlight if you don't have to. There's a glow around you so you really don't need it. Go in and out of buildings alot and save early and often. Great game. HIGHLY Recomended.. This is the first time I've ever played a horror game in this style. Have to say, highly impressed!! Although this one didn't have many jump scares in it, and the enemy wasn't hard to avoid at all. I really, really, truly, thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. I've played quite a few horror games recently, just looking for the right one to get me even slightly startled. This was it. This was the game that did the trick. The story was great, the gameplay was fun and engaging, the controls were simple, nothing was overly complicated to figure out but it still required some thinking, the throwbacks to 80's horror movies was awesome, and overall, the game was just a massive hit for me. I loved the animated scenes, I loved the theme, I loved everything about this game. The voice acting was spot on and the Scene in the house with the woman calling for help was brilliantly done. 10/10, Very well voice acted and very realistic. Well thought out, well done. I can tell that a lot of hard work and planning went into the creation of this game, and I can appreciate that. I can't wait to see what comes next!- Crankage Games (Developer of the Comedy RPG Metal as PHU K). Camp Sunshine is a great looking, fun RPG Maker game. Gameplay wise, it's nothing special. Consisting mostly of fetch quests and item hunts, while being hunted by the killer "Sunshine Bear". But the story and how it is told, is what kept me playing. I initially launched it to check it out for a minute and I ended up playing it for 5 hours straight and beating it. I loved all the 80's references, the humor and the mildly 4th wall breaking internal monologue from the protaganist. The game also has a great atmosphere, sound design and the bears voice acting is really good and it made me tense everytime I heard him. The only problems I had with the game were the gamepad controls (you have to use the D-pad) and the killer bears spawning (he will sometimes spawn on top of you). Also the game doesn't run in widescreen, but that isn't a huge deal. I absolutely loved this game. 8.5/10. I've only played this for a few minutes, but will expand on this after i've experienced more of the game. But, I love the atmosphere this game is giving off already. I've played a few games made with RPG Maker, and this has to be the best looking one i've found in recent years ... seriously give it a shot, I don't think you'll regret it!. I'm not going to pretend like I don't adore this game. It checks all the boxes for me: retro styling, check. Nostalgic references and easter eggs, check. Trope characters that are familiar and classic, check. A super creepy villian, check. Easy controls to pick up, check. Funny dialogue, check. Staying true to the genre while being unique, chickity-check!In fact, the only complaints I had about the game are a funny glitch where Jezz "hides" with his backside sticking out of the bush, and the flashlight mechanic where I didn't understand the consequences fully (at first). This is a great game, and if you like the classic slasher genre, the 80s, 16 bit games, or would like to branch out from Five Nights at Freddy's, you should give this game a go!. chi chi chi ha ha ha
